Actor Idris Elba revealed he had the coronavirus last week, and now his wife now says she too has tested positive. Model/actress Sabrina Dhowre Elba shared her diagnosis with Oprah Winfrey during a Facetime on Winfrey’s “Oprah Talks COVID-19,” Apple TV+ series.
“The View” co-host Meghan McCain announced that she and her husband, Ben Domenech, are expecting their first child together. As a result, McCain will be making her appearances on the ABC daytime talk show remotely due to the pandemic. McCain tweeted the news in a statement from her verified Twitter account: “My husband Ben and I have been blessed to find out I’m pregnant,” McCain said in her statement. “Although this isn’t how I expected to announce my pregnancy, both we and our families are excited to share the news with you all.”
Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation helps fund education and emergency preparedness, and now they are helping out with the ongoing coronavirus global pandemic. Clara Lionel is donating $5 million to coronavirus relief efforts, per the foundation’s website.
“Project Runway” star and fashion designer Christian Siriano is working with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to mobilize his company’s resources to produce face masks amid a critical supply shortage as the nation battles the coronavirus. Siriano, who has dressed famous clients from Michelle Obama to Taylor Swift, reached out to Cuomo on Twitter after a call for help from the governor asking for businesses to help supply gloves, gowns and masks.
Actress Debi Mazar shared with her followers Saturday on her verified Instagram account that she has tested positive for the coronavirus. Best known for her roles in “Goodfellas,” “Entourage” and “Younger,” Mazar said she’s doing OK, but shared that about a month ago, she, her husband and their two teen daughters “got an odd bug — Lowgrade fever, headaches, sore throat, body aches, ears ringing and a dry cough. It cleared up quickly.”
