After months of speculation that the pair had quietly married, Justin Bieber confirmed his marriage to model Hailey Baldwin in an Instagram post on Friday. “Happy late thanksgiving to everyone,” the caption on a photo read. “First thanksgiving as a married man, first time hosting thanksgiving. First time both sides of the family has come together.”
After a $18.5 million opening on Wednesday, November 21, Disney Animation’s “Ralph Breaks the Internet” — the sequel to Wreck-It Ralph — is well on it’s way towards earning $80 million+ over the five-day Thanksgiving weekend. According to Variety, studios are expecting the animated film to land in the $90-$100 million range, possibly breaking Frozen‘s Thanksgiving weekend record of $93. 6 million.
Katy Perry took home the top honors for 2018 on Forbes’ annual list of the highest-paid women in music. Perry earned $83 million for the year starting June 1, 2017, beating out fellow powerhouses Taylor Swift ($80 million), Beyoncé ($60 million) and Pink ($52 million). Numbers are based on “Nielsen SoundScan, NPD BookScan, insider interviews and Forbes estimates,” according to the publication.
Netflix is giving its subscribers Avengers: Infinity War, which will premiere on the streaming service on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
“Grey’s Anatomy” star Ellen Pompeo took the opportunity to complain about Porter Magazine’s lack of diversity, during the middle of a videotaped roundtable discussion set up by the publication for its annual “Women in Television” issue. Pompeo’s comments were part of a free-wheeling conversation between Pompeo and actresses Gabrielle Union, Emma Roberts and Gina Rodriquez about diversity at work, at schools and among friends. The women also discussed sexism and the pursuit of pay parity.
