Carrie Underwood Undergoes Surgery For Broken Wrist

Carrie Underwood underwent surgery on Tuesday (November 14) after falling and breaking her wrist this past week at her home in Tennessee. The 34-year-old country star provided an update for fans last week after she was hospitalized. Underwood tweeted another update yesterday, revealing she underwent surgery.

Thomas Rhett To Play The Dallas Cowboys’ Halftime Show On Thanksgiving Day

Thomas Rhett will perform the halftime show at the Nov. 23 Thanksgiving Day NFL game, when the Dallas Cowboys will take on the Los Angeles Chargers.  Rhett will be live from AT&T Stadium during the nationally-televised mid-game performance. The annual event also marks the kickoff of the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, which helps provide shelter and meals for the homeless and the hungry, as well as Christmas toys for children in need.

Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn Extend Vegas Residency

Country stars Reba McEntire, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will continue to shake it up Las Vegas next year.  Tickets for these shows will go on sale on Nov. 17. The new shows makes Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas the longest-running country music residency since The Colosseum opened in 2003.

Carly Pearce accomplishes an almost-unheard-of feat this week, as she reaches #1 with her very first single, “Every Little Thing.” This makes Carly the only woman to make it to #1 with her debut single in 2017, and only the twelfth woman to do so since the beginning of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, according to her label.

Blake Shelton Pays Tribute to Brother Who Died 27 Years Ago

Blake Shelton is speaking out to remember his late brother Richie, who passed away in a car accident in 1990. The 41-year-old country singer and The Voice coach wrote a touching tribute on Twitter:  “Lost my brother 27 years ago today. I was only 14 at the time but it changed my life forever… Made me realize that life is precious and there’s no time like RIGHT NOW to go for it… We still miss you Richie!!”
