The Ten Most Forgettable Big Cities in the U.S.

California has a lot of big cities.  But apparently they REALLY need to work on their marketing.  A new study ranked the 103 biggest cities in the country by how memorable they are.  The results are based on the difference between how many people remembered a city in a quiz about the biggest cities in the U.S., and the city’s population.  Kinda random.

Anyway, apparently the most forgettable city is, Mesa, Arizona.  It has the 38th highest population, but only 32.8% of people remembered it when they were taking the quiz.

The rest of the 10 most forgettable are:  Santa Ana, California, Fresno, California, Long Beach, California, San Jose, California, Fort Worth, Texas, El Paso, Texas, Stockton, California, Aurora, Colorado and Virginia Beach, Virginia.

On the other end of things, Boise, Idaho is the most memorable city.  It has the 103rd biggest population, but 58.9% of people remembered it during the quiz.

The rest of the 10 most memorable are:  Orlando, Florida, Birmingham, Alabama, Miami, Florida, Reno, Nevada, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, Missouri, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, New Orleans, Louisiana and Buffalo, New York.
