Parents and Their Kids Text 5,800 Times a Year

We may not get to spend that much time with our families, but MAN are we in sync with them when it comes to taking advantage of the unlimited talking and texting in our family plans.  A new survey found parents and children spend an average of less than an hour face-to-face every day, but we make up for that by staying in constant contact.

1.  Parents and their kids exchange 5,800 texts a year.  That’s approximately 16 a day.

2.  They send 260 emails a year.

3.  They make 416 calls, which add up to 37 hours.

4.  And they have 208 interactions on social media.

60% of parents also admitted that sometimes they call or text one of their family members when they’re both home and they could just yell instead.
