Country music superstar Morgan Wallen has been charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment after allegedly throwing a chair off of the sixth story of a Nashville rooftop bar on Sunday night, according to WTVF. Police say the chair landed just three feet away from two officers who were standing in front of the bar’s entrance down below.

The alleged incident occurred at a bar owned by fellow country singer Eric Church. The bar’s staff identified Wallen as the person responsible for throwing the chair, and provided police with surveillance footage which showed Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof.” Witnesses also told police that Wallen laughed after throwing the chair.

Wallen was arrested on three counts of felony reckless endangerment, as well as disorderly conduct. He was booked at 12:36 a.m. local time on Monday and released three hours later after posting bond.

In a statement, Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, confirmed the arrest and said his client is “cooperating fully with authorities.”

Wallen just kicked off the 2024 leg of his  “One Night at a Time World Tour” with a pair of sold-out shows at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis last week. Later this month, he’ll appear at the Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, CA.
