This sounds like a living nightmare. Apparently, there’s a new trend out there where people are choosing to stay awake during plastic surgery.
Imagine getting a facelift while you’re AWAKE. Does that sound relaxing?
Doctors are now offering “awake” procedures using local numbing instead of putting people fully under.
You can even get up halfway through the surgery and walk around. Here’s what one patient said, “I could hear them working on me.”
Some patients like the idea of skipping the anesthesia risks. But others are not sold on the idea. One doctor said, “For four or five hours, that seems like torture.”
And honestly, hearing tools, feeling pulling, and knowing what’s happening the whole time? That’s a hard pass.
