The Band Perry returns with the track ‘Psychological’

After nearly a decade, The Band Perry – now featuring Kimberly Perry and husband Johnny Costello – is stepping back into the spotlight with the release of “Psychological,” marking the group’s first new song in nine years. Written by Clara Park, Grace Tyler, and Colton Venner, “Psychological” tells a dramatic story of infatuation spiraling into obsession.

The track arrives following the band’s signing with Big Machine Label Group’s Nashville Harbor Records and Entertainment last July. “Coming back home to our Big Machine/Nashville Harbor family feels like a beautiful full-circle moment for us,” Perry said last summer. “To bring the foundation of everything we’ve built together into a new season of creativity means the world. This reunion feels like a second chance, a deeper chapter, and we’re just so grateful to be writing it with the family who believed in us first.”

The return from The Band Perry also follows several lineup changes — Kimberly originally launched the band with her brothers Reid and Neil Perry, but Reid departed in October 2025, leaving Kimberly as the only remaining founding member.
