Have you ever refused to shop somewhere because their shopping carts are a mess, and you don’t want to FIGHT with a janky wheel as you’re trying to give a store your money?
Target will be rolling out a fleet of new, “reimagined” shopping carts which are coming to stores nationwide. They don’t reinvent the wheel, but they do make it roll forward consistently.
The new carts are the “Series 3 APC” model, and they boast:
1. Smoother maneuverability and ergonomic handles.
2. A deeper, more comfortable and secure child seat.
3. Increased basket space for bulk goods.
4. Larger cupholders, “for anything from snacks to Starbucks to sippy cups.”
5. A modern design, with durability and sustainability in mind.
(Yes, we are still talking about shopping carts.)
The carts are ALL PLASTIC. The components can all be replaced individually, which theoretically extends the lifespan. And when parts do need to be retired, all the materials are “fully recyclable.”
If you wanna take one for a spin, be on the lookout. They aren’t all arriving at once. Target says they’re coming to “most of our stores in the years ahead.”
These carts have been in the works for SIX YEARS now. They won’t blow your mind, but they will make it easier to blow your paycheck at Target.
