Some people go to Subway expecting a gourmet meal, prepared by a Sandwich Artist, but then end up feeling disappointed, like Subway might be a little overhyped. (???)
A new poll asked, “Which country has the most overrated food culture? Not saying the food is bad, just maybe a bit too hyped.”
30% of people said France. (Are there any non-fancy French restaurants?)
21% said America.
15% said the U.K. (Is British food really “hyped”, let alone overhyped?)
14% said Italy, and another 14% said Japan.
And 7% said Mexico. (Tacos alone make this the wrong answer.)
Those were the only options, so they didn’t ask about Thai food, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Spanish, German, or Ethiopian. (Although, you’ve gotta be eating at a pretty bad place to be underwhelmed by Indian food.)
