Here are some random facts for you.
1. Frozen foods will never expire at 0 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. However, the flavor and texture can degrade over time. (The temp can’t rise above that, so don’t hold the door open, and for taste, keep everything properly packed to avoid freezer burn.)
2. A caterpillar called the tobacco hornworm uses its bad breath to scare off predators. It eats tobacco leaves, and that causes its bad “smokers’ breath.”
3. There’s no copyright or patent protection on magic tricks. If a magician invents a trick, anyone’s free to use it, you just have to figure out how it’s done. But there’s an unwritten code, so most magicians refuse to use other magicians’ tricks.
4. A study in 2012 found there had been more than 200 academic papers published on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, which easily made it the most studied TV show or movie. The “Alien” movies were second with around 90 papers.
5. Starting in the early ’80s, pieces of telephones shaped like Garfield the Cat washed up on beaches in northwest France, and no one knew why. In 2019, a farmer finally found a wrecked shipping container in a cave that was spilling out the phones.
