Carly Pearce to host 2021 “ACM Honors”

The Academy of Country Music announced that Carly Pearce will host the 2021 ACM Honors. Pearce herself is a two-time 2021 ACM Awards winner, for Single of the Year and Music Event of the Year, both for “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” her collaboration with Lee Brice. In a press release, Pearce said she is “humbled and excited” to be hosting the annual event this year — her first time in the role — adding, ‘winning two ACM Awards this year was a dream come true, and I cannot wait to share that same feeling with my fellow artists and industry friends as their special moments are recognized. I look forward to a night of honoring the best in country music.”

Miranda Lambert announces new string of tour dates

Miranda Lambert has announced a new string of upcoming tour dates, includes several fairs and festivals. Lambert will hit the road beginning July 17 in Belmont, Ohio, touring through November with stops at the Rock the South Festival in Alabama and Tortuga Music Festival in Florida, as well as a three night run at Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas. Lambert’s last trek was her Wildcard Tour which she had to cancel midway at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis earns his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country chart with ‘Am I The Only One’

Aaron Lewis, frontman for the hard rock band Staind, earned his first solo No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with the single “Am I The Only One.” Am I The Only One was streamed four million times in the US in its first week, and the track also entered Country Digital Song Sales at No.1, achieving the biggest week on that list since Jason Aldean did so in February 2018 with “You Make It Easy.”
