A Restaurant Banned All Bankers Because the Owner Was Turned Down For a Loan

30-year-old Alexandre Callet owns a restaurant just outside Paris called Les Ecuries de Richlieu.  Don’t worry, you won’t need to know any French for this.  His restaurant made the Michelin guide, it did more than $300,000 in business last year, and Alexandre says movie stars eat there.

But when he went to the banks for a $61,000 loan to start a second location, ALL of them turned him down.  So now he’s getting his revenge, by banning ALL bankers from eating at his restaurant.

He has a sign out front that says,  “Dogs welcome, bankers banned (unless they pay an entry fee of 70,000 Euros).”  That’s roughly $77,000.

So far he says he hasn’t had to turn away any bankers who’ve tried to eat there but, “I will the moment I spot one.”
