West Virginia’s state legislature passed a bill a few weeks ago to make RAW MILK legal. That means it doesn’t have to be pasteurized before it goes into stores, basically straight from the udder to you. And some state representatives celebrated lifting the ban on raw milk by DRINKING it.
Fast forward to today, and yeah, a bunch of them are sick. Some people are saying it’s just a coincidence, and that there’s a mysterious illness going around. But the health department isn’t so sure. They got an anonymous tip that it WAS because of the milk, and they’re launching an investigation.
The bill was sponsored by a Republican named Scott Cadle, and he brought in the milk to celebrate. He’s been turning down interview requests ever since the “mysterious illness” broke out.
