This story is less about the rise of the machines, and more about the rise of SELF-DELUSIONAL VANITY. Which is why we love it. A new survey asked people if robots will take over most people’s jobs in the next 50 years. And 65% said YES.
BUT, when the survey asked if a robot would take over THEIR job, 80% of people said no. That’s right: Robots are coming for most of our jobs, but you YOURSELF are FAR too important to be replaced by a machine.
In fact, people are more worried about losing their job because their company is mismanaged, their industry is shrinking, or they’ll be replaced by someone cheaper.
