Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Fame Inducts Five New Members

Songwriters K.T. Oslin, Ronnie Dunn, Byron Hill, Joe Melson and Wayne Kirkpatrick were inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Sunday, Oct. 28 at Music City Center. Many famous acts performed their classic hits — Runaway June performed “Do Ya,” Oslin’s 1987 chart topper, Jon Pardi performed Dunn’s “Neon Moon,” Shawn Camp delivered Hill’s “Born Country,” Jesse Labelle did his take on Melson’s “Crying,” Gabe Dixon gave a moving performance of Kirkpatrick’s “Change the World,” and Little Big Town rocked the crowd with “Boondocks.”  In addition, during the ceremony Reba McEntire came to the stage to accept a newly instituted Career Make Award, which will be given to performers who have recorded a wide range of the Hall of Fame members’ songs.

Midland Extend Their “Electric Rodeo Tour” Into 2019

The trio of Mark Wystrach, Cameron Duddy and Jess Carson ,who comprise the country group “Midland”, just announced they will be extending their headlining “Electric Rodeo Tour” into 2019 with a dozen new dates. The new tour will make stops in L.A., Detroit, Nashville, Austin and more. Dierks Bentley Announces “Burning Man Tour” With Jon Pardi & Tenille Townes

Dierks Bentley will be hitting the road in 2019 for his headlining “Burning Man Tour.” The first leg of the tour kicks off on Jan. 17 in Hamilton, Ontario, making 9 stopes Canada before hitting the U.S. for 15 more shows. Bentley said, “I talked to Jon Pardi last April about the idea of going back on the road together one last time, and I am so happy that I can finally let our fans in on this. We cannot wait to get back on the road. Who we bring with us on tour is so important to the band, crew and me and the addition of Tenille Townes is something we are all stoked about.” Tickets go on sale on Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. local time, with pre-sale for Citi cardmembers on Oct. 31.

Kelsea Ballerini Announces First Headlining Tour Called “Miss Me More Tour” With Support From Brett Young

Kelsea Ballerini announced her first headlining tour, the “Miss Me More Tour” taken from the name of her current single. The 14-date tour will kick off on April 11 in Salisbury, Md., making additional stops in Knoxville, Tenn., Bismark, N.D. and more. Brett Young will join Kelsea on all dates, as well as opener Brandon Ratcliff. Pre-sale tickets are available now for Kelsea’s fan club members. Maren Morris Debuts New Song ‘To Hell and Back’ From Upcoming Second Album

Maren Morris previewed of one of the songs that will appear on her upcoming second album. Morris took to social media and re-tweeted a clip first shared by a Twitter account called AllThingsMaren, showing Morris in an acoustic performance of a new song titled “To Hell and Back.”  Morris released her debut album, Hero, in 2016, and she’s scored four hits from the album with “My Church,” “80s Mercedes,” “I Could Use a Love Song” and “Rich.” She revealed that she was working on her second album in April via social media and has tweeted that the album will include two collaborations, though she did not confirm with whom. Morris was among the female artists recently honored at the 2018 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony alongside Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman and Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott.
