The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade officially made its way down the streets of New York City with amazing balloons and floats, and of course, great talent-including Kelsea Ballerini. The country singer helped usher in some fun with a performance of “Peter Pan” as she arrived in Herald Square aboard the Stirrin’ Up Sweet Sensations float, sponsored by Domino Sugar.
Country superstar Thomas Rhett, 27, had the most epic Thanksgiving of his life on Nov. 23, getting to perform as the halftime entertainer at the Dallas Cowboys vs. San Diego Chargers game. The Cowboys and turkey day are an annual holiday tradition and Rhett thrilled the 100,000 football fans inside of AT&T Stadium, as well as millions of viewers at home celebrating. He brought out such hits as “Unforgettable” from his 2017 album Life Changes.
Kip Moore is giving fans an intimate glimpse into the creation of his third album, Slowheart with the 33-minute documentary The Journey To Slowheart. The film takes viewers to Moore’s hometown in Tifton, Georgia to share the singer’s backstory. The Journey To Slowheart includes interviews with family and friends, who shed light on the singer’s slow and steady rise to fame. In addition, the camera follows Moore as he takes a break from music and travels for several months in early 2017.
Chris Stapleton has been tapped as one of the special guests on The Eagles 2018 cross-country tour, along with James Taylor and Jimmy Buffett. The Eagles have announced the first 12 dates, which start March 14 in Chicago and continue through the summer. Stapleton will play with the Eagles at their Arlington, Texas, date on June 23. He’s following in the footsteps of fellow country star Vince Gill, who joined the legendary group on their tour in fall of 2017 as a both a guitarist and vocalist.
Mac McAnally is recovering after suffering a heart attack while in Los Angeles. The songwiter, who recently won his ninth CMA Musician of the Year trophy, had a heart attack on Nov. 13, which forced him to cancel his performance at Sunday’s hurricane benefit in Tallahassee, Fla., with Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith and Jake Owen. “Mac is doing well,” publicist Elaine Schock said in a statement. “He was released from the hospital last week and planning to resume work soon.”
