Carly Pearce Hits #1 With ‘Every Little Thing’

Carly Pearce accomplishes an almost-unheard-of feat this week, as she reaches #1 with her very first single, “Every Little Thing.” This makes Carly the only woman to make it to #1 with her debut single in 2017, and only the twelfth woman to do so since the beginning of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, according to her label.

Blake Shelton Pays Tribute to Brother Who Died 27 Years Ago

Blake Shelton is speaking out to remember his late brother Richie, who passed away in a car accident in 1990. The 41-year-old country singer and The Voice coach wrote a touching tribute on Twitter:  “Lost my brother 27 years ago today. I was only 14 at the time but it changed my life forever… Made me realize that life is precious and there’s no time like RIGHT NOW to go for it… We still miss you Richie!!”

Country Rocker Brantley Gilbert And Wife Welcome Son

Country star Brantley Gilbert and his wife, Amber, welcomed their son Saturday, November 11 in Athens, Georgia.  Barrett Hardy-Clay Gilbert was born Piedmont Hospital about a week early, weighing in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces.  “Amber and I are just so thankful and blessed to have this beautiful little boy,” Gilbert said.

Carrie Underwood Hospitalized After Fall Outside Nashville Home

Carrie Underwood has spoken out after reportedly falling on steps outside her home in Nashville on Friday evening.  A statement from an Underwood spokesperson said the singer has been treated and released from a hospital for a broken wrist, cuts and abrasions. Underwood took to her Twitter page to thank her fans for their well wishes, also stating “I’ll be alright…might just take some time…glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.”

Garth Brooks, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton Top Winners At CMA Awards

Nearly 20 performances highlighted the 2017 CMA Awards with tributes by many country performers. Musical highlights included Carrie Underwood’s performance of gospel song “Softly and Tenderly” to tribute singers lost in 2017, and the 58 victims killed in Las Vegas.  Big winners included Garth Brooks as Entertainer Of The Year, Miranda Lambert as Female Vocalist of the Year, and Chris Stapleton winning both Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for his From A Room: Vol. 1.
